1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Verma Software (“Paisa”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using Paisa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be legally able to accept these Terms where you live. If you are below the age of majority, use Paisa only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian, where required by local law.
2. What Paisa provides
Paisa is a personal money-tracking and planning tool. It can help you record transactions, manage wallets, budgets, goals, debts, and recurring entries, and review reports. Paisa is not a bank, payment processor, financial adviser, broker, accountant, or tax professional.
Paisa does not connect to your bank account, verify transactions with a financial institution, move money, or provide investment, legal, accounting, tax, or other professional advice. You are responsible for checking records and seeking qualified advice before making financial decisions.
The app and its features may change as we maintain or improve the service. Some features depend on your device, operating-system version, permissions, or available hardware. Nearby device sync is currently supported on Android.
3. Permission to use the app
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Paisa for your own lawful purposes. You may not use the app to break the law, interfere with its operation or security, or attempt to access systems or data that you are not authorized to use.
Paisa and its software, design, and branding are owned by their respective rights holders. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app to you. Rights that cannot be limited by law remain unaffected.
4. Your records and imports
You retain your rights to the information and files you enter or import. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawful use of that content, and for protecting access to your device.
Imported bank statements and workbooks can contain errors or duplicate entries. Review imported rows and mappings before adding them to your transaction history. Paisa is a record-keeping aid, not a source of verified bank data.
See the Privacy Policy for details about local storage, permissions, and information flows.
5. Backups and nearby sync
Encrypted backups
You may create a password-protected .paisa backup of your app data and supported attachments. You are responsible for choosing and safeguarding the password and keeping backup files in a secure place. Paisa cannot recover a forgotten password or an independently lost or damaged backup.
Nearby device sync
Nearby sync is a user-initiated two-way merge between participating Android devices; it is not a full backup, device replacement, or guarantee that both datasets will become identical. Keep both devices nearby, verify the matching security code, and resolve any conflicts presented by the app. You are responsible for choosing a trusted device and keeping a separate backup of important information.
Transaction-only spreadsheet imports replace transaction history only when you explicitly choose that mode; they do not restore the rest of the app. Statement imports enter a review flow before they become transactions.
6. Availability and updates
We aim to keep Paisa useful and reliable, but do not promise that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or free of errors. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
Apple's App Store and Google Play may apply their own terms to downloads, updates, and platform services. Those platform terms are separate from these Terms.
7. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Paisa is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not warrant that app calculations, imported data, reminders, reports, backups, or sync results will meet every user's requirements or be free from loss or error.
To the extent permitted by law, Verma Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Any remaining liability is limited only to the extent allowed by the law that applies to you.
8. Ending use and changes to these Terms
You can stop using Paisa at any time and remove it from your device. We may revise these Terms when the app or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app or on this page. If you continue using Paisa after revised Terms take effect, your use will be governed by them to the extent permitted by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. The courts of India will have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by applicable law.
